As a Writer you have a deep understanding of the ways copy helps our brand partners achieve their goals, influencing consumers by delivering a clear message, and seeking out new trends and incorporating them into campaigns effectively. Understanding our partners’ businesses, thinking conceptually, and presenting copy with clarity is paramount. You will be working with strategists, designers, producers, technical team members, and content creators, ensuring every written word is purposeful.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative copy that is forward-thinking and in line with current brand trends.

  • Understand complex briefs for lifecycle marketing projects, and translate them into clear, actionable language for internal brand toolkits and/or consumer-facing communications.

  • Collaborate with strategists and designers to develop content strategy for each communication that ladders up to a holistic CRM campaign.

  • Deliver effective copy for email, in-app and other short-form digital deliverables.

  • Engage brand partners with fresh creative ideas and thinking as it relates to messaging architecture and prioritization.

  • Manage multiple interrelated projects at one time. 

  • Ensure copy is revised, proofread and accurate across all deliverables.

  • Communicate effectively with team members in an agile, fast-paced environment, while remaining positive, open and flexible.

  • Work cross-functionally and be prepared to occasionally flex strategic muscles and give feedback on design.

  • Take accountability with tight deadlines and deliver quick turnarounds and revisions while maintaining high-quality work with creative integrity.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant copywriting experience, especially relating to CRM and lifecycle  marketing.

  • Driven by curiosity and eager to understand brand partners and their products and services in depth.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment and seize the opportunity to make a difference.

  • Skilled in writing clear, concise, and engaging messaging.

  • Ability to adhere to and work within brand voice guidelines.

  • Ability to ensure quality and details are consistent across all deliverables.

  • Self-starter with proven interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to receive and give constructive feedback throughout all creative phases.

Details

  • This is an in-office Portland, Oregon position with three days per week in office. A hybrid approach will make up the other two days per week, with additional days in office per week as needed or required by management. *We’re open to fully remote options for the right candidates.

  • The salary band for this role is $65,000-$80,000.
