We are seeking a Brand Strategist to bridge the gap between creativity and strategy, transforming insights into compelling marketing campaigns. This role requires a balance of analytical thinking and imaginative storytelling, with a deep understanding of consumer behavior, brand positioning, and content creation. As a Brand Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams—including designers, copywriters, media planners, and strategists—to develop and execute innovative work that drive engagement, brand awareness, and conversions.
Responsibilities
Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends, turning insights into actionable strategies and comprehensive reports that drive campaign decisions.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor moves, consistently bringing fresh ideas to every campaign.
Collaborate with marketing, design, and content teams to translate insights into compelling narratives—spanning messaging, visual storytelling, and IRL or digital activations.
Ideate, develop, and launch innovative campaigns across digital, social, and traditional media channels.
Lead and optimize ad performance initiatives, analyzing results and continuously refining campaigns for maximum impact.
Partner with clients to ensure alignment on strategic direction, creative vision, and measurable performance goals.
Qualifications
5+ years experience working in highly cross functional teams including brand, consumer, creative.
A desire to do hard work and celebrate the success that comes with it.
Deep knowledge of customer lifecycle stages & the purchase funnel.
Extreme attention to detail.
Ability to translate data and insights into actionable strategic plans and creative solutions.
Strong presentation skills with the ability to sell creative ideas to stakeholders.
Proven experience in a brand strategy, marketing, advertising, or branding role.
Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms, including paid and organic content strategies.
Leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance efficiency, creativity, and decision-making.
Exceptional storytelling and conceptual thinking skills.
Experience building strategic briefs and managing projects from ideation to execution.
Ability to build your own decks in Figma.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reports to
The Creative Strategist role reports to the VP of Strategy.
Details
This is an in-office Portland, Oregon position with three days per week in office. A hybrid approach will make up the other two days per week, with additional days in office per week as needed or required by management. *We’re open to fully remote options for the right candidates.
The salary band for this role is $65,000-$80,000.
