Associate, Studio & Team (People & Studio Operations)

As Associate, Studio & Team you’re a natural leader. Your role will be to lead the development and ongoing iterations of our people function and studio operations. You’ll sit at the intersection of HR, company culture, career development, facilities, and all of the other things small and large that help make The Program so special. Through the development of people programs and initiatives, you’ll play a critical role in the connection of everyone at The Program; managers, co-workers, and leadership. Through the day-to-day management of our studio operations, you’ll ensure our Portland studio is operating efficiently, while ensuring our remote team members remain connected.
This is a full-time, Portland, Oregon based position.
Responsibilities: Team (People) Operations
Be the go-to person for our team members for all people-related ideas, questions, or concerns. When issues arise, you will approach them with your problem-solving and conflict-management skills, and become the trusted ally they can rely on.
Lead people programs and initiatives, development planning, engagement surveys, and listening. Partner with Leadership and Management for team member performance and compensation, balancing the needs of the business and our team members.
Offer support in all areas of HR and talent including onboarding, professional development, and team member relations. Bring excitement and life into our collaborative talent management processes.
Energize policies, procedures, and practices that address necessary regulatory requirements, but also build a beyond-compliance mindset that injects excitement and energizes our team members.
Be the point for all onboarding and offboarding of team members; partnering with Management, Leadership, and Finance for a smooth experience. Refine how we engage and connect with our team members throughout the onboarding and employment lifecycle in our hybrid working environment to ensure every team member is connected and engaged
Lead HR Compliance efforts, partnering with Leadership, outside counsel, and third-party HR advisors.
Support recruiting initiatives and applicant tracking for both FTE staff and contractors; continually expanding our roster.
Responsibilities: Studio Operations
Serve as the main contact for all building and equipment related systems, engaging with vendors as needed; ensure all aspects of the Portland studio are functioning dailing, including but not limited to: supplies, tech, security, etc.
Promote company culture via outings, celebrations, gifting, continuous learning, etc.
Partner with Finance and Leadership teams across all aspects of Studio Operations.
Develop a cadence and strategic approach for company wide communications; from required compliance comms to spontaneous notes, you’ll support the business with a cohesive and unified messaging approach.
Occasionally support the Project Management function in their travel and logistics planning needs; additional operations support as needed.
Ability to work in our studio or on location with the potential for light travel on occasion; reliable vehicle and driver's license with a willingness to drive as necessary to complete the duties and functions of the position.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs of gear, equipment, and supplies from time to time; lending a helping hand as needed.
Qualifications
4+ years of relevant People Operations and/or Studio Operations experience.
Strong communication skills; you listen attentively and speak graciously. Ability to receive and deliver constructive feedback.
Diligent organizational skills with demonstrated proficiency across platforms and tools.
Strong and budding analytical and strategic thinking; you approach your work thoughtfully.
Strategic approach to work; you identify the need, develop the plan, and implement the solution.
HR compliance knowledge and experience is a plus.
You approach work with a positive, can-do attitude and thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

This is a hybrid office position. Candidates should be located in or around Portland, Oregon, and are happy to join us in the studio up to five days per week via a hybrid approach.
The salary band for this role is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00.
